"Our grief will become our anger"

On the 20th of July, in the city of Suruç in Turkey, 15 km away from Kobane, a bomb exploded, counting 31 casualties and 100 wounded. This was no accident or a random target. The explosion takes place the moment that members of the Socialist Federation of Youth Associations open their banner saying “We reconstruct Kobane”.

This is precisely the example of the new world that Kobane displays and that indeed annoys the religious and state totalitarianism. It’s the word Resistance, the word Solidarity, the word Equality and the word Dignity that all together take shape and figure and they are only treated with exclusion, violence and death.

After the bombing, a lot of demonstrations are organized in Turkey. The Turkish state will respond with arrests, repression and violence, just like an Islamic state would.

Like our comrades in Turkey, “Our grief will become our anger” we say. From our part, we shall honor the memory of the dead, by helping actively in the reconstruction of Kobane.

We declare our full support and solidarity to all those who resist against the religious and government system in Turkey and Kurdistan; to those who dream and build the new world of Life and Freedom.
